Update on what's happening in the next couple of months.
Greetings,
It's been a while!
If you are one of the lovely people reading my few and far between updates, then thank you.
As you'll see in the gig guide, there is not much going on locally between now and the end of July as we will be away for a month on holidays and then touring with the BOB CORBETT BAND.
Bob secured a tour grant to help with the promotion of his album "Storyboard".We will go to Adelaide, then the North Coast and WA later in the year.
Bob, Dave, Mikey and I are all looking forward immensely to the trip and some different scenery.
Aside from gigs,I am flat out teaching at the Con and looking after our hectic but gorgeous nearly three year old.
Still, I will manage to fit in some concerts with the Uni Choir on the 26th July( Jazz songs at the Dungeon Jazz venue in Adamstown), as well as doing the soprano part in Handel's "Messiah" on December the 13th.
In September, I will be doing the Queen of the Night in Mozart's "Magic Flute" ( again!) with Newcastle Festival Opera. If you are in to classical music, then come and check it out.
It's all happening!
Thanks to all for coming to our gigs.
Cheers,
Sue
Hi all,
Well what a cracker of a month August has been for great gigs, excitement and dramas!
LOVE THAT HAT gigs at the Mark have been going so well, we don't want them to stop. Thanks to all who have been turning up week after week and supporting us after all these years.
It's been just like the good old days.
Our next one won't be until the 19th October, boo hoo!
Unfortunately, there has also been a lot of sickness between the three of us and our kids so apologies to all who were affected by us having to cancel gigs.
Hopefully the warm weather will bring consistent good health.
Mikey's nephew and local brilliant singer songwriter has asked us to be his backing band to promote his new album and tour with him which is extremely exciting.
We have been enjoying rehearsals so much and are looking forward to playing these top songs at his launch on the 24th September at the Gallipoli Club in Hamilton.Don't miss it!
The SUE AND MIKEY SHOW is still going stong. We are really enjoying playing in different combinations.
The Albion is one of our favourite venues in case you are looking for a fun night out in town.
Look out for a new website in the not too distant future which will feature all projects I'm involved with, more photos, video footage and ways to get some recordings.
Thanks again and happy days in the Springtime to you!
Cheers
Sue
